Shopping with your mobile phone
Imagine how it would be to go shopping without cards or cash.
Visa recently mobilized 1,500 participants and persuaded 500 retailers in the Spanish town Sitges for a trial to see if paying with a mobile phone could be the next big thing in the world of banking. Each participant received a phone with a chip that contains the details of their bank card, so with every purchase the details are send to the bank for the payment to be successful and the amount is then debited from the account. Visa already made an evaluation and says 90 % of participants would continue this mobile payment, let's see if it appeals to the rest of the world.. (the guardian)
