Most people stay by their current account, instead of changing their account to another bank with lower costs for them. It’s because banks are not transparent enough, so people don’t see the real costs. Also a lot of people think that the benefits of changing aren’t high, or they are scared because they think that things will go wrong. That is why the office of fair trading forces the banks to reduce the barriers for changing to zero, to encourage people to switch to the best bank for them.
