Contactless Payment

Contactless cards are said to be the next hype in banking and retail, but fears about security could affect their success.
With a contactless card, people can pay for low-value  items (< 15£) by simply holding their cards in front of the reader at the till, so no more scrabbling for cash or keying in a pin. While a lot of people are worried about security because the card is so easy to use, Visa says that it’s very secure. More and more retailers are using the contactless cards but UK music festivals and the 2012 Olympics are also planning to use this technology.
